Lopinot has published a chapter in the 2018 edition of Business Bankruptcy published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mary volunteered her time and expertise to contribute to this publication that helps provide informative handbooks to attorneys throughout Illinois. These handbooks help guide attorneys through their practices and provides comprehensive content to assist them in continuing their education as an attorney.

Mary is a shareholder at MMR with more than 20 years’ experience representing clients in areas of tax and bankruptcy. Her experience has made her an expert and desired speaker at many presentations across the Southern Illinois region. Along with her many presentations, Mary has also been selected as a Leading Lawyer in bankruptcy and tax law. This award is only given to the top 5% of attorneys in each state. She is a proud member of the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois and has previously served as an officer for the organization.

Mary is dedicated to improving education and is actively involved in educational matters. She is an elected member of the Board of Education where she has been a member for 16 years. Mary is an adjunct instructor at Southwestern Illinois College where she teaches courses in the paralegal program. Mary’s dedication to education is what drove her to volunteer her time to the IICLE Business Bankruptcy publication. “The CLE requirement of the legal profession is a prime example of the lifelong commitment to learning that we strive to create in education,” Mary says. Mary’s passion for education, dedication to her clients and contributions to the legal profession has helped her make an impact on the community that she is very proud of.
