Thirteen attorneys from Mathis, Marfian & Richter, Ltd., alongside approximately seventy-five attorneys from the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis have volunteered to provide free estate planning assistance to healthcare workers during the current coronavirus crisis.

The most common request for these services to date has been for a health care power of attorney or health care directive for the individual and his or her spouse as well, a property power of attorney and will in some cases. If an individual is interested in this assistance they can contact the BAMSL program through or contact an MMR office. An attorney will then be assigned who will reach out to the individual to discuss his or her needs and prepare the documents.

Members of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis have also done some presentations on health care directives and basic estate planning via Zoom conferences. Attorneys from our firm are available to participate in such zoom presentations.

Attorneys at MMR involved in this volunteer program sincerely appreciate the healthcare workers throughout the St. Louis area and all they are doing in this time of stress and uncertain times.
