MMR&G Adds Laura Craft as Associate Attorney

Belleville, IL, March 11, 2009. Mathis, Marifian, Richter & Grandy, Ltd. (MMR&G), is pleased to announce the addition of Laura Craft of St. Louis as an associate attorney to the Belleville, Illinois-based law firm. Craft focuses her practice in civil litigation, commercial litigation, employment law, medical malpractice and personal injury.
Prior to joining MMR&G, Craft worked as a litigation associate in a boutique law firm and as a legal assistant to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee. She also completed an internship with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Illinois. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented individuals and businesses in a variety of federal and state court matters, including breach of contract, class action, discrimination, medical malpractice and fraud cases.
Craft is licensed in Illinois and Missouri and is admitted to practice before the Illinois and Missouri state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the St. Clair County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Also active in her community, Craft serves as a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Friends Committee and co-chairs the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis' Read Across America program, which promotes literacy and the legal profession in local schools.
Craft received her bachelor of arts summa cum laude from Saint Louis University in 2001 and completed her law degree in 2004 at Washington University School of Law.
