MMR Supports Alzheimer's Association

Belleville, IL – May 27, 2016 – Today, attorneys and staff at the law firm of Mathis, Marifian and Richter, Ltd. raised funds for the St. Louis chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association with a Jeans Day promotion. Employees at all office locations voluntarily chose to donate money to the cause and were extended the opportunity to dress casually for the day in recognition of their support. The MMR Foundation, a charitable support organization established by members of the firm, matched the funds raised by the employees to double the contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Today, there is no known cure for Alzheimer’s disease, although treatments that slow the worsening of symptoms are available and research continues to show promise in advancing this therapy.
