SLU Law School Students Join MMR as Summer Interns

BELLEVILLE, IL – June 22, 2016 – Today the law firm of Mathis, Marifian and Richter, Ltd. (MMR) announced the addition of two law clerks serving summer internships. Amy C. Randazzo and Scott C. Johnston, both students at St. Louis University School of Law, will work to assist the attorneys of MMR, gaining valuable work experience and learning more about opportunities in the legal field.

Amy is a third year law student at SLU and has worked at MMR previously as a law clerk. She has worked with several of the firm’s shareholders assisting in practice areas relating to estate planning, tax matters and other transactional work. She has also contributed to a number of blogs and news articles posted on the firm’s website at www.mmrltd.com. Amy expects to graduate in May of 2017. She earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from Saint Louis University in 2010. After law school, Amy plans to pursue a career focusing on business law.

Scott is a first-year law clerk and will spend his time in a variety of practice areas. While he is interested in exploring many different aspects of law, his immediate interests are in business law matters such as tax law, business structuring, contract law, mergers and acquisitions. Scott received his B.S. and Masters of Accounting from the University of Kansas. He is a CPA and prior to attending law school, was a Tax Intern and Senior Associate at the Kansas City firm of BKD, LLP: CPAs & Advisors. At the Saint Louis University Law School, he has applied to be an editor of the Law Review and has earned an Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade in his class for Research and Writing.
